HOW DO JUVÉDERM®, RESTYLANE® & BELOTERO BALANCE WORK?
RESTYLANE® & JUVÉDERM® are clear gel like substances composed of hyaluronic acid, a substance that naturally exists in the body. While the word “acid” may sound a bit scary, hyaluronic acid is not harsh or damaging. In fact, large amounts of hyaluronic acid are found between the cells naturally and provide the skin with its youthful suppleness and moisture.
But, unfortunately, our bodies own natural levels of hyaluronic acid decrease with age. Due to this decrease in hyaluronic acid and in combination with other factors, the facial muscles become closer to the surface of the skin, resulting in the increased appearance of wrinkles and smile lines.
